Ok, so I’ve recently gotten into DnD. Dungeons and Dragons for the uninitiated.
I’ve had this idea for a barbarian. Thematically, I wanted this character to have been raised to believe that magic DOES NOT EXIST. Basically, each time he comes in contact with a wizard and they cast firebolt or something, he’ll go, “you were holding a piece of rubber in your pocket and just lit it on fire, YOU CAN’T TRICK ME” and then proceed to try to fight him. Seriously, the mental gymnastics I wanted to achieve for this character would put Gabby Douglas to
shame.
Over time, he would start to see the light and slowly want to learn more about magic, as his companions would likely know magic. He would then get inspired to join a wizard college. But because he’s a dunce, (great name for a Barbarian could literally be Dünce the Mage slayer) he can’t be admitted, bringing him back to square one, believing that wizards are fakers.
Anyways, depending upon the level of said wizard, you better hope you can get in close, because fireball and magic missile are no joke. I’d rather fight a robot any day of the week with those two options.
Thank heaven's you're back, Zach. We were all worried sick. Next time, give a call and let us know you're right. We stayed up fretting by the phone all night. Also, A+ comment. - Chris
