1. Cheesecake comes in all flavours. What else do you need?
- Kim Derkx
This... was a contentious discussion over here. Is cheesecake really a cake? It seems kind of pie-like to this old seadog. - Chris
2. Why the cake?
When it comes to pastry, I vehemently and unequivocally reject your reductionist and elitist either-or approach.
Have you never heard of the Piecaken?
You Philistines! You heathens! You Comic Sans users!
It is people like you that make this world such a terrible and terrifying place.
You ought to be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!

Us right now. - Chris
3. Y'all don't even understand: this has been a debate at my workplace for *years.* Blood was drawn; tears were shed; friendships were severed. I stand firmly on Team Cake™ because of the versatility and the ubiquity: more occasions in life are celebrated with cake than with pie, and I refuse to turn all those moments down in favor of a Thanksgiving dessert.

4. Normally I would pick pie because I really don't like frosting. Then I thought about other cakes, like Tres Leche cake, better than sex cake, and what about cheesecake. Is that even cake? My friend thinks it's more like a pie because it has a crust and filling but I think it is actually more like a dessert bar cut into a wedge shape. Finally, I landed on cake but not that sheet cake garbage you see at graduations.
