This one's hard. But I'd choose to fight a pelican over a swan because swans are ferocious. Have you ever been to a park with swans?! They'll squawk and snap your face off!
Plus, pelicans seem a bit derpy, and I'll probably be able to restrain it from behind. Maybe that's just a preconception gained from watching Finding Nemo.
I think swans are actually quite vicious. And pelicans seem like they might be a little bit dumber, or less prone to stick around for a fight.

Swans are pure evil when it comes to a fight, so I'd have some much-needed street cred if I came out alive.
A pelican's mouth just really freaks me out, so a swan sounds better.
